Interruptions can occur if the data transfer rate of the network connection is not sufficient for the affected transmitter.
For users of app versions 4.x:
To avoid stream interruptions with slow Internet connections, you can increase the buffer time. You can change the buffer in the App Settings (stack icon in the upper left corner) in the Settings section. The higher you set the buffer time, the less likely there will be interruptions. However, this could delay initial playback.
Please also make sure that neither in the power settings or lock screen settings of your Android device nor in a third-party app for battery saving is set that the Internet connection is automatically interrupted after a certain time or that the radio.net app is automatically closed.
If the interruptions persist despite buffer settings and a stable internet connection, please send us an email via 'Send Feedback Email' with details of the affected stations.
For users of app versions 5.x:
Please make sure that neither the power settings or lock screen settings of your Android device nor a third-party app for battery saving is set to automatically disconnect the Internet connection after a certain period of time or to automatically close the radio.net app.
Since the player automatically buffers enough data in this new version, we have removed the adjustable buffer time from the app.
If the interruptions persist despite a stable Internet connection, please send us an e-mail via 'Send feedback e-mail', indicating the affected stations.
