Please check first if your internet connection is constant and stable. An unstable internet connection can cause connection problems. Please try to play the station/podcast via a WLAN connection.
Restarting the router might fix the connection error for a station/podcast. Turn off your router, wait 10 seconds and turn it on again.
Also, please make sure that battery saving is not set in the power settings or lockscreen settings of your Android device or in a third-party app, so that the Internet connection is not automatically interrupted after a certain time or the radio.de app is automatically closed.
