radio.net allows its users to listen to radio and podcasts online - wherever and whenever they want. More than 30,000 stations and 600,000 podcasts from all over the world are available at a single click.
The Android application is divided into FOR YOU, RADIO, PODCAST and SEARCH.
FOR YOU is the home page, which is set up according to your interaction with the app. For example, if you listen only to radio, you'll get a summary of stations you've listened to. Accordingly, if you listen only to podcasts, only your interaction with the podcasts will appear - e.g. new episodes of your favorite podcasts, and you can even continue listening to an episode if you haven't finished listening to - without having to search for it. However, if you listen to both radio and podcasts, both worlds will have their own place on FOR YOU.
The tabs RADIO and PODCAST are both divided into YOUR STATIONS/YOUR PODCASTS and DISCOVER. The first lists your favorite stations/podcasts and a list of those you've listened to. DISCOVER is the perfect place to find new content: In this section you will find our Editor's Picks, the Top 100, local stations in your area as well as individual lists according to genre, topic, country, language or podcasts.
By clicking on 'See All' you can open up any one of these lists in full. To play a station or podcast you can simply tap on the logo or the play symbol so that you can still remain in the opened list.
By clicking on the station name, a detailed view will open up with a station description and favorite, sleeptimer, alarm clock, and sharing options.
Tapping on the logo in the player at the very bottom of the screen will open the full screen player. Here you can start and stop stations at an instant by tapping on logos and swiping through the list from which the particular station you initially chose was selected. In this view you can also add/remove stations to/from your favorites, set an alarm or timer and manage the app's output over AirPlay. The full screen player of podcasts also allows to jump forwards and backwards 15 seconds.
